Automated NSFW Detection

All uploaded content is automatically analyzed using AWS Rekognition, Amazon's advanced machine learning service for content moderation. This ensures that inappropriate or NSFW (Not Safe For Work) content is detected and blocked before it becomes visible to group members.

Our content moderation workflow:

  • Content is uploaded directly to secure AWS S3 storage
  • AWS Lambda automatically triggers Rekognition analysis
  • Content is scanned for inappropriate material
  • Approved content becomes visible; rejected content is blocked
  • Status updates are sent back via secure webhook
